Above right, from left, are ISU researcher Shrishail Navi, Indigo Ag’s Corey Nikkel, graduate student Catherine Batchelder and AMVAC’s Marcus Jones discussing soybean research projects that were funded by the ISRC.

On September 8, 2025, the day before the ISRC’s annual Industry Advisory Council meeting, the center hosted its second annual Research Day that featured updates on ISRC-funded projects and a poster session that showcased the research of 19 Iowa State graduate students, post-docs and research staff.

The posters were on display for industry representatives, farmers and faculty with the opportunity to discuss and ask questions of the researchers. Poster topics focused on numerous soybean-related issues, other crops, soil health, herbicide-resistant weeds and crop pests and diseases. Seven of the research posters were from ISRC-funded projects and one was a 2025 GDM Travel Grant Recipient.
