ISRC industry partner GDM is sponsoring a travel grant program for ISU graduate students presenting their research at national scientific conferences in 2025. The grants help cover student travel expenses while also recognizing outstanding student research contributions. The ISRC assists GDM with the application and award/travel reimbursement process.

GDM is excited to announce that Memis Bilgici, a PhD student in plant breeding advised by Professor of Agronomy Thomas Lübberstedt will receive a $1,000 travel grant to attend and present his research at the National Association of Plant Breeders Meeting in Hawaii in May. Bilgici will present a poster at the meeting on results of his research on maize cultivated in perennial ground cover systems.
