On August 26, ISRC faculty affiliate Mark Licht, agronomy, spoke with a group of 24 Uruguayan farmers about soybean and corn management in Iowa. The group, hosted by ISRC industry partner GDM, met at the ISU Field Extension Education Lab near Boone, Iowa while the group was in the area for the Farm Progress Show. ISRC Industry Recruiter Steve May also accompanied the group.

Licht took questions through an interpreter for over an hour. There was great discussion with the farmers who had many similarities to Iowa farmers in terms of demographics and farm size.
