Iowa Soybean Research Center welcomes Indigo Ag as industry partner
The Iowa Soybean Research Center at Iowa State University welcomes Indigo Ag as its newest industry partner. A representative from the company will serve on the ISRC’s industry advisory council, which provides guidance on research needs and funding priorities for the center.
“Getting involved with the Iowa Soybean Research Center was a simple decision as we have been working with Iowa State University and the Iowa Soybean Association the last couple of years to validate bio control products that we have discovered and commercialized for soybean pests and pathogens. We truly want to partner with ISRC to enable and bring new innovations to soybean growers,” said Corey Nikkel, director of sales enablement for Indigo Ag.
“It’s wonderful to have Indigo Ag join the center as an industry partner,” said Greg Tylka, co-director of the ISRC and professor of plant pathology, entomology and microbiology at Iowa State. “They are recognized for working collaboratively with other industry members for the good of Iowa farmers, and they will complement the center’s current partners very well.”
“We are excited to continue to grow the ISRC Industry Advisory Council with Indigo Ag joining the group to bring their aligned perspective advancing science- and technology- driven ag products that will strengthen farmers’ livelihoods,” said Christie Wiebbecke, chief officer of research and conservation for the Iowa Soybean Association and chair of the Iowa Soybean Research Center’s Industry Advisory Council.
As one of the ISRC’s industry partners, Indigo Ag will provide financial support to the center, which will be leveraged with soybean checkoff funds from the Iowa Soybean Association to support soybean research at the university.
The center is a formal collaboration of Iowa State’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the Iowa Soybean Association and industry partners. Together, representatives from ISA and the industry make up the ISRC’s Industry Advisory Council. Indigo Ag is the center’s latest industry partner, joining Ag Ingenuity Partners, Albaugh, AMVAC, BASF, Bayer, Beck’s, Cornelius Seed, Corteva Agriscience, GDM, Innvictis/Simplot, Meristem Crop Performance, Merschman Seeds, Mosaic, Nutrien, Peterson Genetics, Syngenta, UPL and Valent.
