In mid May, ISRC staff participated in the planting process for the Tylka Nematology Research Program’s SCN soybean variety trials northwest of Ames. This was the first time ISRC staff experienced soybean planting and soil sampling first-hand. Soil samples will be collected from the research plots again in the fall after harvest.

Results from the variety trials, which are funded by the Iowa Soybean Association, are published each January in Iowa Farmer Today and can be found on the ISU Extension Publications website.
