Peterson Genetics partners with the Iowa Soybean Research Center

Peterson GeneticsAMES, Iowa — Peterson Genetics, Inc. has joined the Iowa Soybean Research Center at Iowa State University as an industry partner. In this role, Peterson Genetics, headquartered in Cedar Falls, Iowa, will provide financial support to the center and have a representative serving on the ISRC’s industry advisory council, which provides guidance on research funding priorities for the center.

Their perspectives will help ensure that the center continues to meet the research needs of Iowa soybean farmers,” said Greg Tylka, director of the Iowa Soybean Research Center and professor of plant pathology and microbiology at Iowa State.

“We welcome Peterson Genetics’ support of the center and look forward to their insights as we work toward providing innovative research that will optimize productivity and sustainability for Iowa’s soybean farmers,” said Ed Anderson, senior director of research for the Iowa Soybean Association and chair of the Iowa Soybean Research Center’s Industry Advisory Council.

The center is a formal collaboration of Iowa State’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the Iowa Soybean Association and industry partners. Together, representatives from ISA and the industry make up the ISRC’s Industry Advisory Council. Peterson Genetics is the center’s newest industry representative, joining AMVAC, BASF, Bayer, Cornelius Seed, Corteva Agriscience, FMC, GDM, Innvictis/Simplot, Latham Hi-Tech Seeds, Merschman Seeds, Syngenta and UPL.
