Helmers Named ASABE Fellow

Matt Helmers, agricultural and biosystems engineering and director of the Iowa Nutrient Research Center, was named a 2022 Fellow of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) at its annual international meeting on July 18, in Houston, Texas. ASABE Fellows represent members of unusual professional distinction, with outstanding and extraordinary qualifications and experience in, or related to, the field of agricultural, food or biological systems engineering. Kaleita Receives Massey-Ferguson Educational Gold Medal

Amy Kaleita, agricultural and biosystems engineering department chair and ISRC management team member, was honored at the ASABE international annual meeting in July with the Massey-Ferguson Educational Gold Medal. The award honors those whose dedication to the spirit of learning and teaching in the field of agricultural engineering has advanced with distinction agricultural knowledge and practice and whose efforts serve as an inspiration to others.
